TEACHING PRACTICE
PROCEDURES OF TEACHING
Teaching is the process of imparting knowledge, skills, and values to others. It involves the transfer of information from a teacher or educator to a learner, with the aim of promoting learning, growth, and development. Teaching is not just about delivering facts and information, but also about inspiring and motivating learners to explore, think critically, and become active participants in their own learning journey.

3 PHASES OF TEACHING PROCEDURE
1. PREPARATION
This phase begun with a prayer for guidance and a pre-review on how to finish the discussion. I am overwhelmed and happy to share new knowledge to the students and let them enjoy the lesson. I began with saying good morning to the students and them to me. Give them an inspirational quote to e them know that mathematics is not that hard and a class agreement so that they will know how to behave in class.
2. DISCUSSION
This next phase is where I gave an energizer or recall of the previous lesson to make them remember the topic and show if it is related to the next topic. Then I made sure if the students understand and if not I will give another example and explain it again. They are to come at the front to answer the questions being asked and see if everyone understands.
3. ASSESSMENT
The last phase of the lesson is for the teacher to give an assessment to know if the students truly understands the discussion. he teacher can give whether an activity or a quiz it just depends on how the lesson is being taught. In this case the teacher can see who knows something and who doesn't and it is where feedbacking happens. The teacher can give few solutions for those who cant understand like remedial classes during lunch break to catch up with the rest of the class.
TIME MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZING ACTIVITIES
Time management refers to the process of effectively managing and utilizing one’s time to accomplish tasks, activities, and goals in an efficient and productive manner. It involves planning, prioritizing, and allocating time to various activities to ensure that important tasks are completed on time and with optimal results.

Organizing activities, on the other hand, refers to the process of arranging and structuring tasks, resources, and information in a systematic and orderly manner. It involves creating a structured workflow, setting up systems, and establishing routines to streamline work processes and increase efficiency.

In Future School you are required to be 15 minutes early before the class starts and be at the bus stop an hour earlier since there is only a few that travels around Cao Lahn City.
I have immediately realized that time management is really important in my demo-teaching due to the transportation and punctuality of the school. I made sure that the lesson plan and activity sheets are prepared days before the demo so that it would be easy and faster for me to do it on the day of my teaching.
Each subject only has 40 minutes to finish the lesson. So I divide it into three. Ten (10) minutes for preparation, twenty (20) minutes for discussion and ten (10) minutes for assessment. Arriving much earlier than the schedule is an advantage for me to have lot of time to prepare.
PROBLEM SOLVING
In the realm of teaching, we encounter various challenges that test our resolve and dedication. However, it is precisely through these challenges that we find inspiration and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students. Teaching can be demanding, with ever-changing educational landscapes and diverse student needs. Yet, it is within these complexities that our true strength as educators shines. Each challenge we face provides an opportunity for growth, innovation, and personal development. It is through our perseverance and unwavering commitment that we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
Teaching gives a lot of challenges that the teachers needed to face.
Some of the challenges I encountered are:
1. Trying to convince the class to answer the questions I raised.
Solution: Calling the names one by one or choosing the student personally to answer.
2. Keep the student's attention on the discussion.
Solution: I created my slides more lively and discussion enjoyable by relating it to fun activities.
3. Making the lesson as engaging as possible.
Solution: Give activities that are fun and giving prizes to those who can answer first.
4. Explaining the lesson in basic English since lot of students can't understand English well.
Solution: Putting a Vietnamese translation below the English text in my slides.
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
Effective classroom management is the key that unlocks a world of possibilities for both teachers and students. Like conductors orchestrating a symphony, skilled educators create a harmonious and engaging learning environment where every student’s voice is heard and valued. With a perfect blend of structure and flexibility, classroom management sets the stage for creativity, collaboration, and academic growth. It empowers teachers to inspire, guide, and nurture young minds, while enabling students to flourish, explore their passions, and reach their full potential.

As a soft spoken woman, it is hard for me to silence the students when they are starting to talk a lot so the first thing I need to do is to set rules on how to behave in class and assure to give all of them a prize after the class but if they do not follow the rules they are going to have an extra activity and assignment.
Also, to attract and maintain the student’s attention in front I make my power point presentation with bright colors, not so disturbing designs and activities that are engaging and easy to understand..
