TEACHING METHODS OF THE TEACHER

Based on my observations, the teacher uses different methods and strategies in teaching because it depends on the topic to be taught.

 

There is a time when learning is centered on the teacher as an expert is in control during the learning process in aspects of organization, material and time. Teachers act as experts who express their experiences so that they can stimulate student development. Sometimes, it is a student-centered method since students need to explore on their own to know and learn something.

LEARNING MATERIALS AND INNOVATIONS

It is to our expectation that teachers provide the best instructional materials to provide best and effective teaching to the students. During my observation the teacher uses printed activity sheets and power point presentation as one of the instructional materials.

​

They also uses textbooks and mathematics inclined materials like ruler and protractor.  Most of them uses laptops,  and television to project their lesson.

            Teacher uses actual materials and each students is asked to prepare before the class starts alongside with their activity sheets and textbooks. Also, the chalkboard is being used for the teacher to write important details about the lesson. The use of technology is n the form of using a television to display the power point presentation prepares to make it easier for students to understand the lesson.

           The teacher in Mathematics uses traditional teaching method more with a little use of modern technology since teaching numbers and replacing formulas digitally is hard to explain. Moreover, there is a technology and internet connectivity provided for the teachers to support them in delivering engaging lessons.

AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT

There are different authentic assessments used by the teacher in assessing students’ learning.

 

1. He uses a pen and paper tests every after teaching a topic.

2. Assessment is also given to the students before and after the lesson.

3. The teacher assigns students to work in pair.
